1978 TRABANT 601 S COACH "RALLYE" No reserve Carte grise française Châssis n° 2241466 - Sans réserve - Voiture originale - Bruit dantesque - Éligible au Monte-Carlo Historique Les premières Trabant voient le jour en 1958 et présentent la particularité d'une carrosserie en plastique. Avec la 601 apparue en 1964, la marque trouve sa vitesse de croisière et ce modèle va être produit à plus de deux millions d'exemplaires jusqu'à 1990. La Trabant que nous présentons est très spéciale puisqu'il s'agit d'une version "rallye", profondément modifiée. Elle reçoit à l'avant deux phares antibrouillard. Les jantes sont spéciales et l'intérieur dépouillé comporte des sièges baquets Sparco avec harnais, un volant spécial et des commandes particulières ainsi qu'un extincteur monté à l'arrière dépourvu de banquette. La mécanique a bénéficié d'améliorations dont les plus visibles sont une barre anti-rapprochement à l'avant et un impressionnant pot de détente, la voiture faisant un bruit de tonnerre lorsque le moteur est mis en route. D'après le précédent propriétaire, un préparateur de voiture de course allemand reconnu, elle ferait partie des Trabant ayant participé à l'époque au Rallye de Monte Carlo, au sein de l'équipe d'usine. Elle est en tout cas éligible au Monte Carlo Historique et a d'ailleurs été préparée l'an dernier dans ce but. Il s'agit d'une machine de compétition originale, et amusante qui se démarque nettement des sportives qui constituent le gros des participants. The 601 appeared in 1964, the brand really got going with this model, and by 1990 more than two million of the 601s would be made. The Trabant we are offering is very special because it is a "rally" version that has been significantly modified. It has two front fog lamps. The rims are special and the stripped interior features Sparco bucket seats with harnesses, a special steering wheel and a fire extinguisher mounted at the rear seat bench. The mechanicals too has received very visible improvements including a strut bar at the front and an impressive expansion chamber, the car making a thunderous noise when the engine is started! According to what the previous owner (a well known German car tuner) informed us, this car may have participated at the Monte Carlo Rally, as part of the factory team. It is certainly eligible for the Monte Carlo Historic, and was also prepared last year for the same. An original competition machine, this car stands out from the rest of the cars that may be seen with the bulk of the participants.
